‘Our five principles for keeping communities safe - have your say’

North Wales Fire and Rescue Authority is encouraging people to take part in a consultation on its five-year Community Risk Management Plan 2024-2029 and to have a say on its five principles for keeping communities safe.

Chief Fire Officer Dawn Docx said: “A Community Risk Management Plan aims to identify risks facing the community and describes how we will manage those risks, and continue to prevent and respond to fires and other emergencies.

“This consultation is therefore important to everyone in North Wales and so listening to your views is important to us.

“We want to know if you think we have identified the most appropriate risks and whether our plans and objectives will meet the aims of our five principles.”

Councillor Dylan Rees, Chair of the Fire and Rescue Authority, said: “Feedback from those who live, work and visit our region is really important - we want to know what you think about our plans before we as a Fire and Rescue Authority makes any final decisions.

“So please take the time to complete the consultation questionnaire. “The more people get involved, the better informed we can be so that we can ensure we continue to keep our communities as safe as possible.”

The consultation opens on 25 March 2024 and closes at midnight on 16 June 2024.
