North Wales Fire and Rescue Service was called to a report of a fire at a property in Gwilym Terrace, Penrhyndeudraeth at 9.44am this morning (Friday 13^th January).

Two appliances were mobilised to the incident and breathing apparatus and hose reel jets were used to tackle the fire.

Sadly a man died in the incident.

A joint investigation by North Wales Fire and Rescue Service and North Wales Police is now underway.
