Crews from Llanrwst and Betws Y Coed were called to reports of a fire in a detached bungalow at Llys y Bioden, Llanrwst at 8.20hrs this morning, Wednesday June 26.

Firefighters used one hose reel jet and two sets of breathing apparatus to tackle a fire in the property.

Sadly, the body of a 97 year old male was found in the property.

A joint investigation into the cause of the fire by North Wales Fire and Rescue Service and North Wales Police is now underway.
