Man rescued from Amlwch property
PostedNorth Wales Fire and Rescue Service were called to a report of a fire at a property in Amlwch at 3.30am this morning, Sunday 3rd November.
Temporary group manager Chris Nott confirmed that two fire appliances from Amlwch were mobilised to the single storey sheltered accommodation in Madryn Dysw, where fire fighters wearing breathing apparatus rescued a 53-year-old man.
The man was taken to Ysbyty Gwynedd by Ambulance, following preliminary treatment at the scene for smoke inhalation.
No-one else was affected by the fire, which was confined to the bedroom, but there was smoke damage to the rest of the property.
The cause of the fire is currently being investigated.
