Fire in outhouse containing acetylene cylinder
PostedCrews from North Wales Fire and Rescue Service have attended a fire in an outhouse at a scrap yard on Bryn Estyn Road, Llan Y Pwll, Wrexham in the early hours of this morning, Monday 18th June.
Two appliances from Wrexham were mobilised to the scene and it was confirmed that a Oxy Acetylene cylinder was housed in the building involved in fire.
A shop in the immediate area was evacuated with the assistance of North Wales Police.
The fire was quickly brought under control with continued cooling of the acetylene cylinder currently being undertaken.
The fire caused 100% damage to the workshop, two vehicles and the cylinder and the cause is now under investigation.
